Seoul asked people to suggest some ideas for neglected spaces in Seoul. This is a project with a budget of £230,000 with 10 teams among people in Seoul. Our team are selected as 1st prize with a project called Green Oasis.
Green oasis Project (working name) - Making green spaces at underground passages in Seoul, Korea.
The site is Yeoksam and Seolleung underground passages. This passages are basically designed for easy accesses between opposite sidewalks alongside a wide road. However, due to prejudices against underground passages such as a dark space for bad people, these passages are easily neglected and rarely used.
For these reasons, Miree Kwon and Sejung Ham suggest to create green space in these spaces. We are planning to make a little forest with diverse usages such as small concerts, galleries and gardening communities for Seoul citizens.
